In light of the COVID-19 outbreak and its implications, we wanted to share an update on how Exodus Lending is responding to the crisis and how you can help our efforts.
Since we know that this crisis financially impacts all in our community, we expect to see an uptick in the number of Minnesotans seeking relief from predatory loans in the coming weeks and months. Our current and future borrowers are our partners, and are always our highest priority. To ensure we can safely support them during this time, Exodus Lending is making the following programmatic adjustments:
- We are temporarily suspending enrollment into our program as we modify our intake process to be entirely online or over-the-phone. Our plan is to restart enrollments using these new methods by April 1st.
- We are offering participants who are financially affected by COVID-19 outbreak the option of deferring their payments until June. As new information emerges, we will evaluate and may extend these deferrals as needed.
- We are closing our office until further notice, and our entire team is working remotely. Staff can respond to inquiries by phone and email. You can reach us at (612) 615-0067 or [email protected].
We believe these changes will provide relief to our participants through these incredibly uncertain times. All of us are feeling the impact of COVID-19 on our physical, social, emotional, and financial well-being. Now more than ever, we need your support as we work together to get through this crisis. Your continued support helps us face this unforeseen challenge head-on and directly aids Minnesotans seeking dignified debt relief during these turbulent times.
Thank you, and best wishes to you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Sara Nelson-Pallmeyer, Executive Director
