Our executive director, Sara Nelson-Pallmeyer, spent this past Monday, June 4th, in Moorhead. She, along with co-hosts Mayor Del Rae Williams, Minnesota House Rep. Ben Lien and city council member Heidi Durand, held a meeting with church leaders, nonprofits, county agencies and financial institution representatives to talk about the payday loan debt trap, the work we do helping Minnesotans escape with dignity, and alternatives to payday loan borrowing. It was an energizing day of ideas and planning to encourage persons in that part of Minnesota avoid and recover from the payday loan debt trap.

Exodus Lending recently received a grant from the Sisters of St. Joseph Partners in Justice. We are grateful for their continued support and are proud to stand with them as partners in the work securing a more economically just Minnesota. With their funding support, we will continue our outreach efforts in regions such as Moorhead, Rochester, and St. Cloud so that we can help more Minnesotans out of payday loan debt.

Thank you for helping make our 3rd annual summer fundraiser a huge success! The energy in the room was terrific, and the program left us feeling inspired.
