We are no longer “a-loan” and can be together once again at our summer fundraiser.
Exodus Lending is excited to resume hosting our annual fundraiser in person this year. We hope you can join us on Thursday, July 29th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at PAIKKA (located at Vandalia Tower on 550 Vandalia St #165, St Paul, MN 55114) for an evening of games, merriment, and a short program about our ongoing efforts to stop the debt trap in Minnesota. Tickets are $5/person in advance or $10/person at the door. Each ticket includes two beverages. We will have snacks available. Additionally, the food truck, It’s 7 am Somewhere, will have food available for purchase from 4 to 8 pm.
Event Mask Policy: We kindly ask that you please wear a mask if you have not been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. However, if you are fully vaccinated and feel more comfortable wearing a mask, you are more than welcome to do so.
Fundraising Goal: Exodus Lending is hoping to raise $30,000 at this event to help as many Minnesotans as possible break free from payday loan debt. We are thrilled to announce gifts made for our “A-Loan” Together fundraiser will be matched up to $30,000! That means your donation can be doubled and go a long way toward securing $60,000 for Exodus Lending. If you cannot attend but still want to contribute toward our goal, you can donate online or send a check to 2380 Wycliff St, Ste B-100, St. Paul, MN 55114. Be sure to include “fundraiser” in the “Tell us more!” section or memo so we can count your gift as part of our fundraiser totals!
See you soon!
Thank you to everyone who took part in our “A-Loan” Together fundraiser last week. We are ecstatic to announce that our generous supporters contributed more than $41,000 worth of gifts and pledges as part of this event, meaning we fully secured our $30,000 match and raised more than $71,000 for Exodus Lending!
At Exodus Lending, we have never been “a-loan” in our fight to stop the debt trap. All of our accomplishments – from surpassing $1 million saved for our participants to launching a new pilot loan product to starting the process of becoming a CDFI – are proof of the amazing community that props up our efforts every step of the way. It’s cliche, but it’s true: we cannot do this work without you. Thank you.
Thank you to one of our program graduates, Sharon, for sharing her personal experience with payday loans and how she broke free thanks to Exodus Lending. (You can connect with Sharon here). We also want to thank Rep. Jim Davnie for speaking about our important advocacy work and being a tireless champion for payday lending reform in Minnesota. Lastly, we’d like to give thanks to PAIKKA for the beautiful venue space.
