Yes! Paikka has a large parking lot that is free to all patrons of the surrounding businesses.
Unlike previous years, we will NOT be serving a meal at the event, but we will have some snacks and the food truck "It's 7 am Somewhere" will have food available for purchase.
Yes! Paikka is .6 miles from the Raymond Avenue Green Line stop. Head southeast on University Ave, then take a right onto Vandalia St. and a left onto Wabash Ave. Then Paikka will be on your right!
Alternatively, the 87 bus and the 67 bus have stops at the cross of University Ave and Vandalia St. and the 63 bus has a stop at the corner of Vandalia St. and Wabash Ave.
It is completely optional! We will have two rounds of multiple choice trivia, but other games such as Jumbo Jenga, Bean Bags and Connect 4 will be available to play at any time during the event.
Unlike previous years, we will NOT be serving a buffet-style dinner and all snacks will be individually packaged and self-serve. Weather permitting, we will have two large garage doors open offering air movement and the opportunity to be outdoors.There will also be hand sanitizer available in several places throughout the venue.
If you have not been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 we ask that you wear a mask or refrain from attending in accordance with CDC guidelines for large group gatherings. If you are fully vaccinated and feel more comfortable continuing to wear a mask you are more than welcome to do so.
Paikka has generously gifted us their space until 9:00 pm so we will need time to pack up our things and clean up after ourselves. If you would like to continue mingling you're welcome to head over to Lake Monster Brewing Company, which is housed in the same building.
