I was a past participant of the EL loan repayment program years ago. My inspiration and passion for helping EL comes from my desire to give back to the communities and organizations that have helped support me and my family when I was in need. I’m blessed to have overcome a lot of obstacles in life, while realizing that without the support of non profit organizations like EL, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. It’s truly humbling to reflect on, and amazing to see the success and impact EL has had on so many!

Who is one person who inspires you and why?

Maya Angelou. Her books, poems and commitment to civil rights has always inspired me to be resilient, and my best self even in the face of adversity.
