Melissa “Missy” Juliette

I live in Saint Paul, MN with my youngest kiddo and our cat, Rosie. I’ve been employed at the University of Minnesota for ten years. I am currently working as a Senate Associate in the Univesity Senate Office. Along with that, I recently completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. In my “spare time,” I enjoy crafting, volunteering, and the occasional concert.
In 2016, I found myself in the payday trap. I had four payday loans before I was pointed to Exodus Lending by Lutheran Social Services when trying to consolidate my debt. I found that I was not alone in my struggles and want to be an advocate for those who are still in the predatory loan cycle.
Who is one person who inspires you and why?
My children inspire me to always do better and continue moving forward.
