I became a certified financial counselor in 2004 with LSS Financial Counseling because I had a passion for financial education and helping people feel more confident in managing their finances. Throughout the years, I’ve worked for various non-profits while living in other states but was glad to return to Minnesota (and LSS) in 2020. I also enjoy working with youth and spent many summers volunteering at local camps. My family and I enjoy fishing, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
I have referred clients to Exodus Lending many times when I provided individual financial counseling. Clients were so excited to get rid of the high-interest rates so they could get out of debt faster. I believe we need places like this as they make our communities stronger, and everyone deserves helpful financial products to be able to move forward.
Who is one person who inspires you and why?
My dad has been a great example to me of how someone should lead by serving others. He has taught me the importance of listening, admitting when you’ve made a mistake, and being open to learning new things.
