I grew up in India and worked in microfinance sector for almost 10 years before moving to America in 2012. I have been working in commercial credit space for large clients over the past six years and the journey has been exciting to say the least. In my current position I handle large client relationships and am responsible for underwriting complex deals to support the credit needs of our clients.
Having worked in microfinance, I have seen the impact of payday lending on the lives of people from the close quarters. People in our communities who have been left behind and are financially vulnerable are at high risk of falling prey to payday lenders and often get pushed deeper into financial troubles. When I found out about Exodus Lending and the valuable work they do, I felt I could not have found a better fit for myself to volunteer my time for a cause that has been so close to my heart and I have spend a decade working on. The ripple effect of work that Exodus Lending does and the lives they touch cannot be measured.
