A Humble Brag on our Team

In times where we’re all searching for sources of hope and inspiration, I can’t help but feel deeply grateful for the extraordinary people who make up our Exodus Lending team. July was a huge month for us. Early on, we had our all-staff retreat, where we planned and dreamed for our future. We then had the pleasure of welcoming two amazing new team members, bringing our full-time staff to ELEVEN of the most talented and brilliant individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I am so energized and inspired to be working with people who bring such thoughtfulness and intention to our work. Together, we are a team committed to continually bettering our organization and, subsequently, being the best resource we can for our community.

If you haven’t already, grab your tickets to our TENTH anniversary fundraiser “Credit to Our Community” to meet all of the incredible individuals that make up Exodus Lending. They’re the reason I wake up excited about the work ahead, and I hope they’ll inspire you as well.

Portia Jackson (she/her) is our new Program Design Manager. With a strong background in program strategy, community engagement, and social impact, Portia brings a deep commitment to advancing solutions that meet the real needs of underserved communities. She is passionate about designing systems that restore dignity, build financial resilience, and foster long-term stability for individuals and families.
Kaelah Mundley (she/they) has started as our Community Lending Coordinator, which will significantly increase our program capacity and ability to be responsive. They join us with over five years of experience in developing and managing community initiatives focused on equity, partnership development, and culturally responsive practices. She is dedicated to promoting financial justice, equity, and inclusion.
The Staff Retreat
Our new office, EquaSpace, was the perfect setting for team-bonding, goal-setting, and learning more about one another and the work we are each doing at Exodus Lending.
You know what they say about “all work and no play”… so, we made sure to take a night off and celebrate a Twins win! Sorry, Kaitlyn (our resident Cubs fan).

If you’re looking forward to seeing the whole team together as much as I am, join us at our TEN YEAR celebration at The Hook & Ladder Theater on August 14th.
